We had a blast riding the Ferris Wheel. It's amazing how beautiful downtown Houston can be.
The shark train is always a favorite! Too bad the lines were long. I bet I know a few boys and maybe a girl who wouldn't have minded riding it again.
We rode the drop ride 6 or 7 times (there wasn't a line for it.) I couldn't believe that the boys both enjoyed it. Looks like they are growing up. Even though they look tiny in those seats.
The ray tank is really cool. You can pet them, or just check them out from underneath.
Make sure you wear your scuba gear... from 1820?
Be careful when riding those wild dolphins, unless you're a trained professional... use both hands!
Do NOT eat fish, if they can eat you!
My thoughts the second time around... it was expensive. I'm glad we got a discount. It was nice to have the all day pass so we could ride the rides as many times as we wanted (since we're usually too cheep for that). The aquarium is really kinda small. They do have some awesome animals and fish. But... here's my soap box for the day... conditions for the animals are abysmal. The enclosures are way too small. I think I'm getting used to Sea World, where at least they really take care of the animals. At the aquarium they have white tigers, they are kept in a cage smaller than my bedroom. The cage is all concrete, no vegetation, or dirt. It's just really sad. I was about ready make protest signs and get the animals taken to a more humane environment. Oh, and one last thing. They have a tarantula, she is clearly a Chilean rose hair, but they have it marked as a Goliath. That's irritating. I guess you can't believe what they put in the cages.
