Catch up: Winter Wonderland!

So, we live in Houston... most days I really love a big city.  Over Christmas we were loving it even more.  One of our very favorite things we did over the break was visit Schlitterbahn Galveston.  Yeah, we went to a water park! And indoor water park!  I didn't take a ton of pictures because cameras and water don't mix, also it was so warm inside it steamed up the camera. We even spent some time on the outdoor parts, again one of the very nice things about living in a warm climate. The boys really loved the big water slides.  The first time I heard those giggles in a long dark tunnel I knew it was worth every single penny we spent. We stayed at the park most of the day.  The boys were to big to play in the kiddy area but still a little to scared to go on the super steep outdoor slides. The best part was we never waited in line. The lazy river was really not so lazy, it was full of rapids, and oh so fun! They both wanted to swim in it! Time to test out those swimming skills, they still have a long way to go, but they did great swimming in the wave filled water.  The drive home was a tired sleepy one, we all got a workout climbing stairs and swimming all day long.

Before and during pictures, the camera got really steamy, it was sure nice and warm. I decided to take a self portrait by a fake palm tree. The boys were riding the rapids! It was a fantastic day, I can't wait to go again... maybe we will even go in the summer?

I can't wait to go again. I just loved hearing those little screams of delight as the boys went shooting down the water tubes!
